Not everyone needs a 60 mph e-moto. For teens, smaller adults and families who want to ride together, the Heybike Villain hits a sweet spot: real dirt bike fun, a compact size that's easy to handle, and a price that won't scare off the rest of the household.
Treasure Valley Electric Cycles is an authorized Heybike dealer in Eagle, Idaho. Here's why the Villain is one of our favorite bikes to put families on.

Why parents in Star, Eagle and Meridian like it
You set the speed. The Villain's FarDriver controller connects to an app that lets you adjust throttle response and power, and even cap top speed. Start a new rider slow and turn it up as their skills grow.
Compact and confidence-building. Small wheels and a lower bike make it easy to touch the ground, which is the number-one confidence builder for new riders.
Quiet. No two-stroke screaming through the neighborhood. The Villain is quiet enough for private acreage around Star, Kuna and Emmett without bothering the neighbors.
Low maintenance. No gas, no oil, no pull-starting. Charge it, check the tire pressure and chain, and ride.
Customizable. Quick-swap body panels let riders change the look, which teens love.
Is the Villain powerful enough?
For its size, yes. 190 N·m from a mid-drive motor out-pulls typical 2 kW pit bikes, and riders regularly see top speeds in the low 40s. That's plenty for a teen, and fast enough to keep adults smiling on a pit bike track.
If you're a full-size adult who wants to ride serious mountain terrain, though, look at the 79Bike Lynx or ReRode R1+. The Villain is at its best as a fun, playful pit bike, not a backcountry machine.
Safety first
We talk every Villain buyer through this before they leave our showroom:
Helmet, gloves, goggles, boots and long sleeves, every ride.
Start in the lowest power setting until the rider is comfortable.
Ride on private land or designated OHV areas, never on public streets. The Villain isn't street legal.
Check Idaho's OHV rules before riding public land. Our buyer's guide covers the basics.
